Aquis to hold extra stallion parade dates following huge reception
A bumper four-session stallion parade at Aquis Farm’s Gold Coast hinterland stallion operation at the weekend has prompted the Fung family owned stud to hold an encore over the next two Sundays.
Attended by Aquis Farm president Justin Fung for the first time in three years, he was among about 500 guests who were on hand to inspect the 17-stallion roster, which includes exciting shuttler Aclaim (Acclamation) and first season sires Jonker (Spirit Of Boom) and Glenfiddich (Fastnet Rock).
The Stallions Under The Stars, a Friday evening event at the Canungra stud, was held for the first time and such was the reception, it’s likely to become an annual event. Three further parades were conducted last Saturday and Sunday.
Aclaim, who will stand for $24,200 (inc GST) in his first season at Aquis Farm, conjured much interest among breeders with the stallion already the sire of this year’s English 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m) winner Cachet and the brilliantly fast stakes-winning sprinter Royal Aclaim.
The additional Aquis Farm parades, which also feature young Group 1-winning stallion Pierata (Pierro) and Brave Smash (Tosen Phantom), will be conducted on Sunday, August 21, at 10am and 2pm and the same times on Sunday, August 28.
