Lavish Girl and Kristilli among Magic Millions supplementaries
The build up to this month’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast has intensified with the announcement of a swag of supplementary lots.
Imperatriz (I Am Invincible), the world’s highest rated racemare, had already been confirmed as a late addition to the race fillies and mares session on May 28.
Aside from the ten-time Group 1 winner, the feature supplementaries include eight more stakes performers who are elite future breeding prospects.
Group 2-winning juvenile Kristilli (Hellbent), Angus Armanasco Stakes (Gr 2, 1400m) scorer Lavish Girl (Xtravagant), Group winner Aitch Two Oh (Headwater) and stakes-winning juvenile Malaboom (Spirit Of Boom) are all heading to the Gold Coast.
The winner of last year’s Percy Sykes Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m), Kristilli is being offered through the draft of Yarraman Park Stud after just nine starts.
Lavish Girl heads to the Gold Coast following a run of outstanding Group race performances which includes defeating multiple stakes winner Argentia (Frankel) and Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Yearning (Snitzel).
Since her Group 2 triumph, the Ciaron Maher trained five-year-old Lavish Girl has consistently competed against the best sprinting mares in the country.
The Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained Aitch Two Oh has proven herself as one of South Australia’s most consistent sprinting fillies and mares across a career that exploded early.
She won a Without Fear Stakes (Listed, 1050m) as a two-year-old before going on to win the Red Roses Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) during the Melbourne Cup Carnival, a race where this season’s revelation Lady Laguna (Overshare) was fifth.
She also won the Durbridge Stakes (Listed, 1100m) earlier this year.
The lightly raced filly Malaboom (Spirit of Boom) is another two-year-old stakes winner heading to the Gold Coast.
At just her second race start, Malaboom scored a brilliant win in the Calaway Gal Stakes (Listed, 1000m) at Eagle Farm.
Malaboom has confirmed her quality, and indeed versatility, by placing at her next four starts for trainer Matthew Dale in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in just seven starts.
The other black type performers now entered for the National Broodmare Sale include Get Up Girl (No Nay Never), Miss Galore (Per Incanto) and the impeccably related Sanstoc (Tavistock).
Supplementary entries for all sections of the 2024 National Sale are still open, but closing soon.
The 2024 National Sale will start on May 26 with the first of two weanling sale sessions prior to the race fillies and maiden mares take centre stage on May 28.
