Muntahaa puts in strong gallop on the Al Bahathri
Last-start Ebor Handicap (1m6f) winner Muntahaa (Dansili) was first to be put through his paces and looked to produce a strong gallop, with his exercise rider asking for noticeable effort as he lengthened past the viewing stand.
Moments later it was Nakeeta’s (Sixties Icon) turn to gallop along the polytrack surface, though last year’s Melbourne Cup fifth looked to be ridden with slightly more restraint than his fellow Side Hill inmate as he entered the final two furlongs of his exercise.
Elsewhere, both Magic Circle (Makfi) and Marmelo (Duke Of Marmalade) headed to Side Hill, where they completed two steady canters each around the sweeping left bend.
Today is expected to be a quiet day for all four horses in quarantine, with Marmelo set to stay at Side Hill stables due to the forecast heavy rain. The gallops will be open to all horses on Sunday where faster exercise is set to resume.
