NZB National Online Breeding Stock Sale begins

The New Zealand Bloodstock National Online Breeding Stock Sale is now live on Gavelhouse Plus. 

The 54-lot catalogue possesses an opportunity for breeders to access some of New Zealand’s elite-performing families and bloodlines. 

Among the offerings is a five-lot draft from Windsor Park Stud, which includes the stakes-placed Artiste (Mastercraftsman), who is a sister to Group 2 winner and Group 1 placegetter Mime, as well as Pantea (Ocean Park), a half-sister to the unbeaten Group 2 winner Amelia’s Dream (Redoute’s Choice) and from the family of multiple Group 1 winner Werther (Tavistock), in foal to Turn Me Loose (Iffraaj). The Windsor Park draft is completed by Sesto (Jakkalberry), a half-sister to three-time Group 1 winner Gingernuts (Iffraaj); Lisboa (Van Nistelrooy), who is a half-sister to Queensland Oaks (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Quintessential (Fast N Famous) and in foal to Armory (Galileo); and Tighten Me Up (Turn Me Loose), a four-year-old daughter of Group 1 performer Lady Kipling (Savabeel), who is in foal to Circus Maximus (Galileo).

“It’s a good time for buyers to be adding to their broodmare band ahead of the new season, and we’re putting five very well-credentialled young mares up on the market for this particular sale,” Windsor Park stud general manager Steve Till said. 

“They’re all genuine sales on behalf of clients who are reducing their numbers, most of them are in foal to well-performed or promising young stallions, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they go.”

Elsewhere in the catalogue, is Ashlaa (Shalaa), who is a half-sister to JJ Atkins Plate (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Capital Gain (Ad Valorem); Prima Donna (Super Easy), a winning half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Prowess (Proisir); the British-bred India (Poet’s Voice), who is a half-sister to Royal Ascot Group 1 winner Big Orange (Duke Of Marmalade); and Neon Moon (Exosphere), who is a half-sister to Sistema Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Sheslickety Split (Turn Me Loose). 

There are also three mares catalogued who are daughters of Group 1 winners: an unnamed two-year-old by So You Think (High Chaparral) who is out of Quintessential, Pushtheboundaries (Pentire), a daughter of Honor Bound (Honor Grades), and The Lion Queen (High Chaparral), who is a daughter of The Mighty Lions (Grosvenor).
