Pin Sec 2 f Lonhro – Moderate by Commands
A narrow but very good win on debut by the filly Pin Sec saw her join the list of promising juveniles raced this season by Godolphin. She was eased after being caught deep from a wide barrier and settled out wide in seventh place before improving coming to the home turn, where she was forced wider still. She then kept running on well in the straight to claim victory in the last few strides, staging a smart effort. She looks a filly with a good future.
Pin Sec is a daughter of the Listed-winning mare Moderate, who won four races in total, including as a juvenile, over trips as far as 1400 metres. The mare also produced Pin Sec’s brother Restrained, a winner of two starts at Newcastle earlier this year, and perhaps unsurprisingly returned to Lonhro (Octagonal) last month. She produced a filly by Street Boss (Street Cry) this year, having not been served for the previous season.
