Roomooz (Fastnet Rock) ran out a taking winner over 1000 metres on her debut at Morphettville on 7 January. The Tony McEvoy-trained filly was backed into $1.60 favouritism and raced just in behind the pace under jockey Damien Thornton from barrier five. Fellow debutant Jolie Rose (Your Song) tried to go with Roomooz, who moved up to challenge at the 200 metres, but she was readily left behind, with the winner easing clear to win by a length and a quarter on a Good 4 track.
The filly is the first foal out of the Group Three-winning and Group One-placed mare Pane In The Glass (Testa Rossa), who is herself out of a winning half-sister to the dual Group Two-winning colt Gold Brose (Huntingdale) and the stakes-placed Bewilder (Hula Chief).
