Strong offering for online Australian Broodmare Sale
Mares in foal to the likes of top-class proven sires such as Pierro (Lonhro), Zoustar (Northern Meteor), Dundeel (High Chaparral), So You Think (High Chaparral), Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible), More Than Ready (Southern Halo), Written Tycoon (Iglesia), Lonhro (Octagonal), Street Boss (Street Cry), Rubick (Encosta De Lago) and Deep Field (Northern Meteor) headline the Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale catalogue.

The catalogue features 343 lots, with the original catalogue enhanced further by 40 supplementary lots to be offered at the sale, which will take place on the Inglis Digital Online platform on May 10. It will not be conducted as a virtual auction, unlike the Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
The sale also features mares in foal to the majority of Australasia’s most exciting first season sires such as Trapeze Artist (Snitzel), Justify (Scat Daddy), The Autumn Sun (Redoute’s Choice), Saxon Warrior (Deep Impact), Brave Smash (Tosen Phantom), Harry Angel (Dark Angel), Grunt (O’Reilly), Mendelssohn (Scat Daddy), Santos (I Am Invincible), Showtime (Snitzel) and Lean Mean Machine (Zoustar), as well as mares carrying pregnancies to many of Australasia’s most promising young stallions, including Pride Of Dubai (Street Cry), Capitalist (Written Tycoon), Vancouver (Medaglia d’Oro), Russian Revolution (Snitzel), American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile), Flying Artie (Artie Schiller), Shalaa (Invincible Spirit), Divine Prophet (Choisir), Hellbent (I Am Invincible), Merchant Navy (Fastnet Rock), Puissance De Lune (Shamardal), Xtravagant (Pentire) and Sooboog (Snitzel).
The sale includes a diverse range of quality mares, with significant drafts including those from Bhima Thoroughbreds, Segenhoe Stud, Gooree Park Stud and Luskin Park Stud.
The Bhima Thoroughbreds draft will include a reduction by Raffles Racing, with the likes of stakes performers or producers Spectacular Vision (Mastercraftsman), El Sagrado (Azamour), McIvor Silk (Fastnet Rock) and Ready To Lift (More Than Ready) among some beautifully bred mares.
The Segenhoe Stud draft comprises 21 mares in foal to a diverse range of quality stallions and featuring some of the best colonial and international bloodlines.
Supplementary entries for the sale remain open until 5pm on April 25.
There will be no mares present at the Inglis Riverside complex in advance of, or during the sale, with prospective purchasers encouraged to contact vendors to discuss the arrangement of any on-farm inspections, with all participants encouraged to respect social distancing measures currently in place.
“It is the best catalogue of mares for the Australian Broodmare Sale for many years and a sale that any discerning commercial breeder in Australasia needs to be paying very close attention to,” Inglis NSW bloodstock manager Chris Russell said.
“Year after year people find quality mares for value prices at this sale with no better examples than the dams of Oohood and Funstar/Youngstar who were sourced from the sale for $110,000 and $30,000 respectively.
“Our user-friendly digital platform is very familiar to the majority of participants and with many vendors providing quality videos of stock as well as comprehensive reports. It is a very easy, convenient way to buy quality mares.’’
The digital platform for the Australian Broodmare Sale will open for bidding from Friday, May 8, with lots concluding in sequential order from 10am on Sunday, May 10.
All prospective buyers must be pre-registered with the Inglis Digital platform and have credit approval pre-authorised.

The Australian Broodmare Sale comes two days after The Chairman’s Sale.
