Maiden Of The Week

Yes Yes Yes (AUS) 2 c Rubick – Sin Sin Sin by Fantastic Light

After a promising debut when second at Moonee Valley on December 1, the Darren Weir-trained colt Yes Yes Yes scored in good style here.

He tracked the leading group, challenged at the 300 metres, hit the front at the 200 metres before going on to score by a length and half, seemingly with something in hand in a time of 1:04.78 seconds.

The colt is out of the winning Fantastic Light (Rahy) mare Sin Sin Sin, whose two other foals are both winners, including Listed-placed Dee Nine Elle (Duporth).

Sin Sin Sin herself is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Hot As Hell (County) and Listed winners Flaming Hot (County) and Craig’s Dragon (Catbird).

Her other half-siblings are Hell It’s Hot  (Zeditave), who produced Group 1-winning mare In Her Time (Time Thief) and Harlem Heat (Xaar), the dam of Listed winner Harlem River (Fastnet Rock).

Sin Sin Sin has a yearling colt by Vinery Stud’s first season sire Press Statement (Hinchinbrook), who is catalogued as Lot 987 https://inglis.com.au/sales/info/2019+Classic+Yearling+Sale/catalogue/987 at this year’s Inglis Classic Sale.

The mare has foal by Widden Stud’s Sebring (More Than Ready) and has most recently been covered by Arrowfield Stud resident Not A Single Doubt (Redoute’s Choice).

Rubick (Encosta De Lago) stood for a fee of $17,600 (inc GST) at Coolmore Australia this year and has 16 first crop yearlings catalogued for next year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
